FAQ

Common questions.

How long does a residential landscape install take?
Front-yard refresh: 2–3 weeks including establishment. Full backyard with patio and hardscape: 4–8 weeks. Whole-property landscape design and install: 8–14 weeks. We work continuously — never leave a yard half-trenched.
Will the new landscape survive a California drought year?
If we design it right, yes. We spec drought-tolerant California natives, drip irrigation, and smart controllers that adjust to actual weather. Many of our 10-year-old installs have survived multiple Stage 3 water restrictions with zero plant loss.
Do you handle hillside or sloped lots common in Palos Verdes and San Pedro?
Yes. Hillside lots need real retaining walls (engineered for over 4 ft), drainage design, and root systems that hold soil. We've designed and built hillside landscapes across Rancho Palos Verdes, Palos Verdes Estates, and San Pedro for decades.
Can you remove a lawn and replace it with drought-tolerant?
Yes, and you may qualify for a SoCal Water$mart turf rebate ($2–4 per sq ft as of 2025). We can design to qualify, document the install, and handle the rebate paperwork. Most of our front-yard transforms in the South Bay use the rebate.
What about pool surround and outdoor kitchen integration?
We design pool surrounds, fire pits, and outdoor kitchens as part of the landscape master plan. If you don't already have a pool, we coordinate with a pool builder; if you do, we design around it without compromising the look.
How much does a residential landscape cost?
Front-yard refresh: $15K–35K. Full backyard with patio, planting, irrigation: $40K–100K. Whole-property design-build with retaining walls and outdoor kitchen: $100K–250K+. We'll quote your specific property, not a per-sq-ft average.
