Why custom furniture

Custom Furniture Solutions for Style and Function

Crafting bespoke furniture that aligns with both the aesthetic and functional needs of a home requires precision and a deep understanding of design principles. DECOMA Industries brings years of expertise in creating unique furniture pieces tailored to complement the homeowner’s personal style while ensuring that each item serves its intended purpose. From conceptualizing designs that fit seamlessly with the existing décor to carefully selecting materials that enhance durability and beauty, every piece is thoughtfully constructed. Whether it’s a statement dining table, custom cabinetry, or built-in shelving units, the goal is to blend artistry with functionality, creating furniture that elevates the interior space while providing lasting value.

Tailored Furniture for Lasting Elegance

Each project involves a careful review of the homeowner’s preferences and the architectural elements of the space, ensuring that the design not only meets practical needs but also enhances the overall atmosphere of the home. The construction process is carried out with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every joint, finish, and component is expertly crafted for durability and style. The result is furniture that is as unique as the home it inhabits, providing a perfect balance of elegance and functionality while contributing to the character and comfort of the living space.

FAQ

Common questions.

How long does commercial custom millwork take?
Single reception desk or conference table: 6-10 weeks. Full retail buildout with displays and fixtures: 10-16 weeks. Restaurant interior with booths, banquettes, and millwork: 12-20 weeks. We start with the longest-lead items (stone tops, exotic veneers) first.
Do you handle ADA compliance for commercial seating and reception?
Yes. Reception desks need ADA-compliant low transaction surface (34" max), restaurant banquettes need accessible seating mixed with banquette runs. We design and build to ADA Standard, not just visual reference — and we test before close-out.
Can you match a brand standard for retail rollout?
Yes — we've built retail fixtures to brand standards, with multi-site consistency in materials, finishes, and dimensions. We can scale a single design across multiple locations, with each install matching the brand spec sheet.
What about restaurant FF&E (furniture, fixtures, equipment)?
Custom millwork (host stand, booths, banquettes, service station, bar back) is our scope. We coordinate with the FF&E procurement team or owner's rep on the rest — chairs, tables, kitchen equipment — to ensure everything arrives and installs in the right sequence.
Can you work directly with a designer or architect?
Yes — most of our commercial custom-furniture work is for designer or architect-led projects. We bid from CDs, build from shop drawings, and coordinate with the design team on submittals. Owner-direct projects also welcome.
What's the warranty on commercial millwork?
Two-year workmanship warranty from DECOMA on the build. Manufacturer warranty on materials (typically 5-25 years on hardware, finishes vary). For repeat commercial clients, we honor warranty walks beyond the formal term.
