Custom AV Systems for Immersive Entertainment

Integrating advanced audio and visual systems into a home requires a thoughtful approach that blends cutting-edge technology with the home’s existing design and functionality. DECOMA Industries offers customized AV solutions that bring high-quality sound and visual experiences into living spaces, allowing homeowners to enjoy immersive entertainment and seamless connectivity throughout their home. Whether the goal is to create a dedicated home theater, set up multi-room audio, or install hidden speakers and projectors that don’t interfere with the aesthetics, each system is carefully designed to fit the homeowner’s preferences and the architectural layout of the space.

Seamless Audio-Visual Integration for Homes

The installation process is meticulously planned to ensure that wiring and components are concealed, maintaining a clean and uncluttered appearance. The systems are configured to deliver superior sound and visual clarity, whether used for casual listening or high-definition home theater experiences. DECOMA focuses on user-friendly interfaces, making it easy for homeowners to control their AV systems from mobile devices or central control panels. The result is a home that is fully equipped with the latest in audio and visual technology, elevating the entertainment experience while maintaining harmony with the overall design.

How we run it

Scope to sign-off.

  1. 01

    Walk the home

Visit your home, talk through how you actually use audio and AV — not how you think you should. Identify the rooms that matter and the rooms that don't.

  2. 02

    Design & spec

Speaker layout, equipment list, signal-flow diagram, mounting plan. Coordinated with framing, electrical, and drywall so it gets built in, not added on.

  3. 03

    Install & program

Cable pulls during framing for new construction, careful retrofit for existing homes. Equipment installed, programmed, tested room by room.

  4. 04

FAQ

Common questions.

How is in-ceiling audio different from a Sonos soundbar?
Sound quality, mostly. In-ceiling and in-wall speakers (Sonance, B&W, Triad) sound dramatically better than soundbars — proper drivers, proper baffle, no compromise from being mounted on a TV. They're also invisible. Cost is 3-10x more, but the difference is real.
Can you retrofit audio in an existing home without tearing up walls?
Yes. We pull cable through walls using fish-tape and pre-existing pathways. Some rooms are easier than others — single-story homes with attic access are easiest. Two-story homes with finished ceilings are harder but usually doable. We'll tell you what's realistic for your house.
What about smart-home integration with Lutron, Apple Home, or Google Home?
Yes — we install Lutron Caséta and RadioRA 3 lighting, integrate with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, or Control4 / Crestron for whole-home automation. We design for the system you'll actually use, not the system that's most expensive to install.
Will my outdoor speakers survive coastal salt air?
If we spec right, yes. Sonance Mariner, Episode Marine, and Origin Acoustics make speakers rated for direct salt-air exposure with sealed enclosures and stainless hardware. For Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Palos Verdes oceanfront homes, we won't use standard outdoor speakers — they fail in 2-3 years.
How much does whole-home audio cost?
5-zone whole-home audio (5 rooms with in-ceiling speakers and Sonos amps): typically $8K-15K installed. 10-zone with high-end speakers (Sonance VP, B&W CCM): $20K-40K. Includes equipment, install, programming. Cable runs during new construction or major remodel are dramatically cheaper than retrofit.
Do you handle home theater design?
Yes — dedicated theaters and casual media rooms. Projector or large display, surround sound (5.1, 7.1, or Atmos), acoustic treatment, lighting control, seating. We design with the THX/CEDIA principles where it makes sense and skip them when it doesn't.
