Flawless Wall Construction with Lasting Durability

Creating smooth, flawless interior walls is a key part of enhancing the beauty and functionality of a home’s interior. DECOMA Industries approaches each wall construction project with precision and a commitment to quality, whether it involves new builds or renovations. From framing and insulation to the final application of the wall surface, the team ensures that each step is executed with attention to detail. Proper installation is essential for creating walls that not only look aesthetically pleasing but also provide durability and structural integrity. By using high-quality materials and adhering to industry standards, DECOMA ensures that the walls are built to last, providing a seamless finish that enhances the overall appearance of the home.

Expert Wall Installation for Seamless Interiors

Beyond installation, special care is taken to address the specific needs of the project, such as soundproofing, moisture resistance in bathrooms, or fire-rated materials in certain areas of the home. The finish work, including sanding, taping, and texturing, is done meticulously to ensure that the walls are ready for paint or other treatments. Whether creating a modern, smooth finish or a more textured look, DECOMA’s team delivers results that align with the homeowner’s design vision while meeting the practical requirements of the space. The result is an interior that not only looks polished but also provides long-term functionality and resilience.

How we run it

Scope to sign-off.

  1. 01

    Site walk & scope

Visit the home, confirm wall conditions, identify any moisture, framing, or structural issues that have to be fixed before drywall. No surprises mid-job.

  2. 02

    Demo & rough-in

Selective demo where needed, dust containment with plastic and floor protection, framing repairs, rough drywall hung. Site stays broom-clean every day.

  3. 03

    Tape, mud, and texture

Three-coat tape and mud, sanded smooth, finished to the level the room demands. Texture matched to the rest of the house so the patch reads as the same wall.

  4. 04

    Punch & paint-ready

Final walk under raking light, fix anything that the eye catches, dust the room clean, and turn it over ready for primer.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can you match the texture in my existing home?
Yes — we match orange peel, knockdown, smooth, and hand-troweled textures so renovation patches blend invisibly. South Bay homes from the 1950s–80s tend to have specific textures we've worked with for decades. We'll mock up a sample for your approval before we texture the room.
How long does drywall work take in a residential renovation?
A single-room patch is 3–5 days including the texture cure time. A full kitchen or primary suite is 1–2 weeks. Whole-house re-drywall on a renovation is 2–4 weeks. We work continuously — no leaving sites mid-job to chase another.
Will drywall work be dusty and disruptive?
Drywall work generates dust. We control it with plastic containment, floor protection, daily clean-up, and HEPA-filtered air scrubbers when the homeowner is staying in the house. The work is dusty; the way we run a site doesn't have to be.
Do you handle drywall after water damage or mold?
Yes. We coordinate with restoration and mold abatement, then handle the rebuild — moisture-resistant board, anti-microbial primer, finish work. Insurance documentation provided for the rebuild scope.
Can you do drywall on an ADU that has different sound and fire requirements?
Yes, and the requirements matter — California ADU code requires one-hour fire-rated wall between the ADU and the main house, plus STC sound ratings on shared walls. We build to the code your AHJ enforces (LA County, City of Torrance, etc.) and pull the inspection ourselves.
