Why concrete work

Durable, Aesthetic Concrete Solutions for Outdoors

Incorporating concrete elements into the home’s exterior and landscape design requires both technical expertise and an eye for aesthetic appeal. DECOMA Industries provides a range of solutions that make use of concrete’s durability and versatility to enhance outdoor spaces. Whether constructing driveways, patios, walkways, or decorative elements like retaining walls and garden borders, every project is approached with precision. The team considers factors such as the terrain, climate, and overall design of the home to create features that are not only functional but also complement the home’s architectural style. Each installation is tailored to meet the specific needs of the homeowner, ensuring that the finished product aligns with the vision for the property while providing long-lasting results.

Long-Lasting, Custom Concrete Designs

The use of high-quality materials and modern construction techniques guarantees that all concrete installations are built to withstand the test of time and resist environmental wear. With options like stamped or stained concrete, homeowners can achieve a variety of looks, from sleek modern finishes to more traditional designs. Beyond aesthetics, these installations are designed to be practical, adding value to the home while improving functionality. The final result is a combination of strength, beauty, and utility, creating an outdoor space that enhances both the property’s appearance and its usability.

FAQ

Common questions.

How long does commercial concrete take?
Parking lot replacement: 1-3 weeks depending on size and phasing. Structural slab for a new building: 2-4 weeks of form/rebar work plus a single pour day. We typically work in 5,000-10,000 sq ft pour areas to stay manageable.
Can you pour concrete on occupied commercial sites?
Yes. Phased pours, after-hours and weekend work, dust and noise control. We've poured parking lots, sidewalks, and ADA upgrades on occupied multifamily, retail, and office sites across the South Bay without losing tenant operating days.
What about ADA-compliant sidewalk and parking?
ADA Standard 4.5 controls slope (1:48 max running, 1:50 cross), and we hit it. Every cure-out we walk with a level. The path-of-travel work passes the city accessibility inspector — we don't leave until it's signed.
Do you handle concrete repair or just new pours?
Both. Spall and crack repair for parking decks, structural concrete restoration on older South Bay industrial buildings (we worked on McDonnell Douglas and similar), expansion joint replacement. We diagnose the cause before patching.
What's the warranty on commercial concrete work?
Two-year workmanship warranty from DECOMA. Manufacturer warranty on any specialty product (sealers, dyes, hardeners). Structural concrete carries the design engineer's stamp — we install to that spec, the engineer warrants the design.
Are you licensed for commercial concrete work?
Yes. DECOMA holds CSLB Class A (General Engineering) and Class B (General Building) license #375508 — the Class A is specifically the license California requires for major concrete and earth-moving work. Bonded and insured for commercial scope.
