What you get

Everything we deliver.

  • 01

    New-construction three-coat stucco

Traditional Portland-cement scratch / brown / finish over wire lath, the system every California inspector recognizes. The right choice for new homes and additions in the South Bay.

  • 02

    Re-stucco existing homes

Strip old stucco, re-lath, and re-stucco — or stucco over the existing wall when the substrate allows. We assess first, then propose the right approach.

  • 03

    Stucco patch & crack repair

Hairline crack repair, patch around new windows or doors, color-matched to the rest of the house. The patch reads as the same wall, not a band-aid.

  • 04

    Integral color & texture matching

Smooth, dash, sand, lace, Spanish lace, Santa Barbara, knockdown. Color in the finish coat (integral) so it doesn't fade with paint.

  • 05

    Spanish & Mediterranean restoration

Restoring the original textures on Spanish revivals and Mediterranean homes common in Palos Verdes, San Pedro, and the older parts of Manhattan Beach.

How we run it

Scope to sign-off.

  1. 01

    Walk & scope

Walk the house, inspect existing stucco for cracks, water damage, or framing issues. Real scope — texture, color, and finish specified.

  2. 02

    Prep & lath

Building paper, self-furring metal lath, weep screed at foundation, control joints. Lath inspection passed before mud goes on.

  3. 03

    Three coats with cure time

Scratch coat, brown coat (with proper moisture cure), finish coat in the color and texture you chose. We don't rush cure time — that's the difference between stucco that lasts 50 years and stucco that cracks in three.

  4. 04

    Inspection & touch-up

Final city inspection, walk under raking light, fix anything that catches the eye. Touch-up materials and care guide left with you.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can you match the stucco texture on my existing home?
Yes. We mock-up the texture on a sample board for your approval, then match the rest of the house. South Bay homes from the 1950s-80s tend to have specific lime-rich finishes that take a different mix to match — we know what to test for.
How long does stucco work take on a house?
New stucco on a 2,500 sq ft home: 3-5 weeks including cure time. Patch and repair work: 3-7 days. Re-stucco an existing home: 4-6 weeks. The South Bay weather window (May-October) is ideal for stucco work.
My stucco has cracks — does the whole house need to be redone?
Usually not. Hairline cracks are cosmetic and patchable. Moving cracks (over 1/8") need elastomeric coating to bridge them permanently. Major cracks usually indicate a framing or foundation issue — we diagnose the cause before recommending the bigger fix.
What about stucco repair after a leak or water damage?
We coordinate with restoration to dry the wall, repair any framing damage, replace the building paper and lath, then re-stucco. Color matching is critical here — we mock-up before committing. Insurance documentation provided for the repair scope.
Can I get integral color so I don't have to paint?
Yes. Integral color is pigment mixed into the finish coat — it doesn't fade with paint and lasts the life of the stucco. We use Omega Products or LaHabra integral-color systems, with a 50-year manufacturer color stability rating.
How long does residential stucco last in the South Bay?
Done right, the stucco itself lasts 50+ years. Painted finishes need refresh every 8-12 years in coastal exposure. Integral color extends repaint cycles significantly. Salt air is the limiting factor — homes within a mile of the ocean see faster fading than inland Torrance or Harbor City.
