Now the Casa Del Mar Hotel in Santa Monica, this six-story brick building was the former site of the Pritikin Longevity Center.
Construction was completed to comply with Phase I of the City’s seismic ordinance including the installation of 1,500 tension, shear, and parapet anchors.
Hidden anchors were installed to preserve the beautiful and intricate façade of the hotel. After the Northridge Earthquake, the owners were extremely grateful for having DECOMA perform this life-safety work.
